Cape Bouvard launches fourth stage at Settler's Cove
Settler's Cove developer Cape Bouvard is looking ahead to the next stage of its luxury apartment precinct as its latest release begins to take shape.Long established builder Kane Constructions is well underway with construction of the latest offering, Emerald, which is quickly emerging from its commanding site overlooking Noosa Sound.Settler’s Cove development manager Shannon Gillard said Cape Bouvard was pleased to have secured the services of such an experienced and reputable builder.“Kane Constructions is capable of delivering the high standard we have set at Settlers Cove and we are pleased with their approach to date in delivering the most challenging of the apartment stages,” he said.Comprising just 14 spacious and opulent apartments, the Emerald construction contract is worth more than $17 million, the bulk of which is being fed back into the Sunshine Coast economy through engagement of local subcontractors and suppliers.Kane Constructions director David Rutter said the company was thrilled to have landed such a high profile project in Noosa.“Settlers Cove is a world class development for the Noosa region and Kane is delighted to have been appointed Principal Contractor on the next stage of the project,” he said.“While we are a national contractor, we consider ourselves ‘locals’ - all our project staff are long term Sunshine Coast residents, as are our key subcontractor partners.”Kane project manager Brendan Ward is aiming to deliver the Emerald apartments by the end of 2016, including two custom-built penthouses, which sold prior to release to local buyers for $4.5 million each.“With a substantial fall towards Noosa Sound, the Emerald site has presented challenges in getting out of the ground, but we are now well progressed and we expect the main structure to be completed before Easter,” said Mr Ward.The most exclusive development in the secluded enclave to date, Emerald has been well received, with nine of the 14 apartments already sold for a total of more than $24 million to a predominantly local market.Together with the previous Iluka release, which has netted sales of almost $37 million to date, Emerald will complete the premier third stage of apartments at Settler’s Cove; the last to enjoy a direct frontage to Noosa Sound.With internal areas starting from 215sqm and the finest of finishes and inclusions, the Emerald apartments epitomize the renowned Settler’s Cove brand that Cape Bouvard has so successfully established.Features include natural stone both inside and out; solid American Oak doors; generous living areas with high feature ceilings; an extensive array of Miele appliances; Villeroy & Boch sanitaryware; Grohe tapware; full home automation and the most spectacular amenities to date.Adding to the unique level of exclusivity, Emerald’s apartments have resort-style facilities and preclude holiday letting, offering residents a peaceful, secure and very private lifestyle.Only five of the Emerald apartments remain, priced from $1.8 million.Cape Bouvard has begun detailed planning for the next release of apartments at Settler’s Cove, which it hopes to release in mid to late 2016.Kane Constructions employs approximately 300 people and has an annual turnover approaching $500 million.With offices in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, Kane Constructions has delivered a wide array of public and private projects along the eastern seaboard during the past 42 years.Previous projects include the restoration of Brisbane’s ANZAC Square, $43 million Emporia apartments in Melbourne, RACV Royal Pines Resort day spa on the Gold Coast, and $115 million RACV Torquay Resort.
