Construction commences on iconic $77 million project

Leading Gold Coast construction firm CONDEV Construction has been appointedto deliver one of the city’s most iconic, in-demand new residential developments– the $77 million Natura project at Burleigh Heads.

CONDEV will commence construction on the project next month with a majordemolition of an existing nine-level apartment on the site, making Natura oneof only a few residential towers on the Gold Coast to be constructed amid theCOVID-19 pandemic.

Natura’s construction comes admits a $1 billion plus development boomsweeping through Burleigh Heads, something which is transforming the suburb into one ofAustralia’s premier beachfront addresses.

Research compiled on behalf of CBRE Gold Coastreveals an estimated $500 million of this is coming from residential projectseither proposed or underway.

The confidence to begin demolition and construction comes from the recordhigh sales Natura achieved during its launch in March this year, where 25 ofthe project’s 33 luxury three-bedroom apartments sold on the day of launch, generatingover $50 million for seasoned Brisbane based developer Spyre Group.

The high sales witnessed indicates Spyre Group have tapped into a stronglocal owner-occupier market, unwavering in their desire to reside in the GoldCoast beachfront suburb, and undeterred by the current COVID-19 situation.

CONDEV is currently constructing the MagnoliApartments at Palm Beach, a project by one of Queensland’s most respecteddevelopment companies, Sunland Group, which in its 30-year history hasdelivered the internationally renowned Palazzo Versace and Q1 among amulti-billion portfolio of projects.

A 17-year-old, smaller apartment block, located where Natura will stand,will be taken down later this month to make way for the new development whichwill meet growing demand for residency along the Burleigh Heads beachfrontstrip.

The development of Natura comes off the back ofSpyre Group’s debut Gold Coast project, the $79 million Elysian Broadbeach, nownearing completion, and the $25million boutique Maya Kirra Beach which is due to be completed laterthis year.
