Full steam ahead as $111 million Northcliffe Residences rides sales momentum
The spectacular Northcliffe Residences luxury apartment project at Surfers Paradise has achieved pre-sales of more than $60 million, putting the development on track for a sell-out before it is built.Construction on the $111 million absolute beachfront tower will start early in the New Year on the back of the strong sales momentum and enthusiastic buyer interest.Project manager Graham Goldman, managing director of Eastview Australia, said demolition work had been completed on the Northcliffe Terrace site and developer, CNQC, would move ahead with civil works early in the New Year.“The encouraging rate and volume of sales has given the developer a great deal of confidence to press ahead with construction as soon as possible,” Mr Goldman said.Work will start on the 25-level project’s excavation and piling phase immediately after Christmas, following the awarding of that contract to Mainland Civil.Mr Goldman said the main construction tender would go out to builders next week and was expected to be awarded by late March. He said the 75-apartment development’s construction program would see it completed by December 2018.McGrath general manager projects Adam Sparkes attributed the development’s strong market traction to its unique design, high quality finishes, unmatched location and superb leisure facilities.“We believe the premium nature of the entire offering and the absolute beachfront position has resonated strongly with buyers, particularly owner occupiers,” Mr Sparkes said.Designed by renowned architect Cottee Parker, Northcliffe Residences will offer luxury one, two and three-bedroom apartments, a two-level penthouse with private rooftop pool and entertaining terrace, and four whole-floor sub-penthouses.Apartments will feature a distinct sense of space and light with floor-to-ceiling windows, open-plan gourmet kitchens, and generous indoor and alfresco entertaining areas.Residents will have private access to exclusive facilities at the stunning Beach Club which flows directly on to the beach. The Beach Club will be equipped with a gymnasium, steam room, sauna, lounge, dining room, surfboard storage, and an infinity pool and terrace.Developed by global development and construction conglomerate CNQC, the tower will rise at 3 Northcliffe Terrace, just minutes from the heart of Surfers Paradise.Mr Goldman said China-based CNQC was buoyed by the extent of sales at Northcliffe Terraces, which the company saw as its launching pad for further development in Australia.“CNQC has strong confidence in the Gold Coast market and is excited about its plans for the future in Australia,” he said.McGrath Projects has a display suite open daily from 10am in Cavill Avenue, Surfers Paradise.
