Giant apartments green lit for Surf Parade
A protected pocket of the Surfers Paradise beachside will soon be home to one of the most generously sized apartment collections the Gold Coast has witnessed, after local council today granted approval to Gallery Group’s $290 million Chalk.
The 36-storey tower of 99 Sky Homes will contain no single bedroom units, instead delivering a high-end collection of two-, three-, and four-bedroom apartments, alongside an ultra-exclusive sub penthouse collection and penthouse rising from the 31st floor.
Designed by local architects, Raunik Design, Chalk will elevate apartment grandiosity to a level never before seen on the Gold Coast, with an offering of expansive homes spanning an average of 249.69m2.
“We are very pleased to have received the green light from local council and are looking forward to introducing the Gold Coast market to a new calibre of apartment living,” said Adam Barclay, Gallery Group CEO.
“Chalk on Surf Parade represents a unique residential living environment situated in the most perfect coastal location on the Gold Coast.
“We wanted to deliver a level of spaciousness and open plan living that is typically unheard of in apartment living.
“Each residence is generous in proportions and specifically catered for residents craving, light and space whilst delivering on expectations of world class quality and craftsmanship.
“These really are homes for owners to immerse themselves in, rather than apartments to simply visit or stay at.
“To put this size into perspective, the average Australian home is 235m2 – which are now the largest homes in the world. The average size of a Chalk apartment is considerable 249.59m2, underlining the rarity of these elevated homes of scale and presence set in the sky.”
The vast majority of Chalk residences are 3-bedroom floorplans in excess of 200m2, with 36 of these spanning from 275m2 to over 300m2.
3-bedroom sky homes start at $2 million from level 6, while the larger residences of 291m2 start from $3.6 million, on level 19 and up.
Two-bedroom apartments will span up to 119 sq/m with prices beginning at $971,000 and enjoying views towards Broadbeach.
Located between Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach at 203-211 Surf Parade, Chalk residents will be free to gaze upon the sand, only 150m away, while being within walking distance to the best of each of its neighbouring suburbs’ renowned lifestyle attractions.
A luxury residents’ only full floor of amenities will include a gym with steam room, outdoor yoga, a spectacular pool deck including a swimming pool, spa, BBQs, teppanyaki bars, fire pit and cabanas.
A fully equipped business centre with workstations and boardroom will also be available along with an on-site café.
Chalk will be comprised of 14 x 2-bedroom apartments; 76 x 3-bedroom sky homes; plus, 9 x four-bedroom sub-penthouses; and 1 x mega-penthouse.
Raunik Design has evolved a design that demonstrates cues of Art Deco influences fused with natural coastal themes to produce a signature piece of architecture on the coveted Surf Parade strip.
