Owner occupier apartment buyers wanting the beach on their doorstep have driven $31 million in sales at the spectacular boutique residential tower, Elysian Broadbeach, within months of its launch and as construction prepares to kick off.The strong start comes as developer Spyre Group announces it has appointed leading builder Hutchinson to construct the eye-catching $79 million project on a corner site fronting Old Burleigh Road.Hutchinson builder’s team leader, Levi Corby said he and the Hutchinson team were excited to be partnering with Spyre Group to deliver the iconic project.‘We’ve been building on the coast and South East Queensland for over 105 Years and we know the opportunity to work on a project of Elysian’s significance is rare,” Mr Corby said.“Whilst my team and I are proud of all our work, this particular development will offer a level of residential sophistication rarely seen on the Gold Coast,” he said“Spyre team’s decision to deliver a project with unrivalled architectural form will certainly make Elysian one of the most enviable addresses on the Coast.‘We are extremely excited to participate in projects that support our backyard, we’re local builders, with local knowledge and are certainly delighted to have the opportunity to partner with Spyre Group on this prestigious project,” he said.Spyre Group director Andrew Malouf said such an intricate and detailed building demanded an established and skilled building company to deliver the invisioned project. At leat 45 per cent of Elysian’s sales have been to Gold Coast and Brisbane purchasers keen to position themselves just metres from the surf, shops and convenience of Broadbeach.Buyers from south of the Tweed account for 30 per cent of sales with the remainder coming from Victoria and overseas.Spyre Group director Andrew Malouf said the company was thrilled that strong pre-launch inquiry for Elysian had translated into market traction with the target market of owner occupiers.“This is a rapidly emerging market segment as many people increasingly opt for apartment living in order to downsize or to secure a more central location,” Mr Malouf said.“We are also delighted to see at least 45 per cent of sales have been to Gold Coast and Brisbane-based buyers who have identified the value of this unique beachside location close to the heart of Broadbeach.”“They recognise the lifestyle that this will deliver as well as the opportunity to secure a luxurious and spacious apartment with ocean views.”Boasting a maximum of just four residences per floor, Elysian will have a total of 61 apartments including its just-released villas starting at $1,395,000, two half-floor sub-penthouses starting at $3.4 million and two full-floor penthouses priced at $4.7 million. And thanks to its corner position on Old Burleigh Road, all apartments in Elysian offer sought-after ocean views and capture cool sea breezes. Each sub-penthouse features five bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a triple aspect sweeping from Surfers Paradise to Coolangatta. The full-floor penthouses - on levels 19 and 20 - each span between 302sqm and 410sqm of space with four bedrooms, four bathrooms, four car spaces, and 360-degree views taking in the ocean, city and hinterland.Buyers will also benefit from upgrade finishes without the price tag, with timber flooring through-out, stone benchtops, LED and feature lighting being a standard finish. The landmark tower also will introduce a high-tech automated vehicle storage system to the Gold Coast high-rise apartment scene. The system, the first of its kind in Queensland, significantly enhances the parking capacity of the building and allows most apartments to each have two car spaces.Elysian will overlook the beachfront Pratten Park to the east and Broadbeach Primary School to the south while offering ocean views that can never be built out.Two-bedroom apartments in Elysian are priced from $645,000 while the three-bedroom apartments start from $1.32 million.Hutchinson Builders will begin work on the tower after demolition wraps up on the 875sqm site at the corner of Old Burleigh Road and Margaret Avenue.Spyre Group, which has more than $250 million in development projects under way, has gained a reputation over a decade for creating sophisticated and innovative living spaces in sought-after locations in inner Brisbane. Its Brisbane projects include the $78 million SOKO Waterfront Apartments and the $6 million SOKO Sky Homes, both in West End, and the $41 million Zahra New Farm luxury boutique development.
