Sales skyrocket for $220 million Victoria Towers
The appeal of assisted living and low-maintenance lifestyle of a vertical over 50’s community has driven sales past $70 million at the $220 million Victoria Towers in Southport.The start of 2015 has seen several premium higher-floor apartments sell between $650,000 and $760,000 with buyers being drawn to the quality development and ease of living it provides.Sales Manager Jackie Taylor-Fox says she expects the sales trend to continue with more buyers seeking assisted living arrangements with added lifestyle amenities.“With our onsite aged care facility Nobel Life in full swing we are able to show potential buyers exactly what is on offer at Victoria Towers,” Ms Taylor-Fox said.“Our facilities together with the ease of living provided by access to some of the Gold Coast’s best shopping, dining and medical amenities and the recently completed light rail are major drawcards.“Last year’s sales have provided a strong platform for this year and I’m confident our sales momentum will continue.”Among the recent purchases were mother and daughter Karla Kristoffersen and Julie Knutsen who each bought a one bedroom, one bathroom apartment.Julie Knutsen said it was the low-maintenance lifestyle of the over-50’s community and its ability to cater to both her own needs and her mother’s which resulted in their purchase.“My mother, fiancée and I had been looking for somewhere to buy that would allow us to live together, but still have our own privacy,” Ms Knutsen said.“We looked at everything from large homes with separate living quarters to condominiums, but nothing met our needs as well as Victoria Towers.“The best thing about our purchase is that it caters to the different stage of life that my mother and I are both at - my mother’s needs are changing and Victoria Towers allows us to live together while still being independent.”Ms Knutsen said Victoria Towers ticked all the boxes they were looking for while also providing the added extras.“We didn’t expect to be able to get the medical support we needed for Mum and the lifestyle facilities, we thought it would be one or the other,” she said.“We are really looking forward to embracing the recreational and socially active aspect of living here.“The added bonus is we are freed up from maintaining a home and a property and we can actually enjoy the time we have together.”Victoria Towers’ recreational facilities include an open-air bowling green, library, barbecues and dining terrace, lap pool, sauna, steam room and spa.Each apartment at Victoria Towers has a 24/7 connection to emergency support, while on-site management ensures the premises are maintained and operated to a high standard.A range of one, two and three-bedroom apartments are available from 79sqm to 155sqm and are priced from $330,000.
