Waterfront community achieves $30 million in sales amid COVID-19
The Gold Coast’s latest waterfront landproject, Serenity 4212, has amassed almost $30 million in sales amidst theCOVID pandemic in a stunning display of sentiment for the last masterplannedcommunity on the northern Gold Coast.
More than 40 per cent of the project’s firststage has been sold primarily to local buyers as the Brisbane-based developersKeylin and Kinstone tap into a well-known acute shortage of waterfront land inthe region.
Construction on the $650 million private, gated community commenced last month, and the project amassed more than 1200inquiries prior to official launch and completion of site works.
“The sales rate has been absolutely astounding, particularly in light of the pandemic,” said Tony Ashwin, Director of AshwinProperty who is marketing the project.
“In some ways we’re not surprised becausepeople on the northern Gold Coast are aware this amazing project is coming andequally aware of the critical shortage of land.
“Combined with the pristine nature of thistotally private, secured estate, the sales rates confirm the extreme demandamong buyers to secure what are the last waterfront parcels in the northernGold Coast outside of Sanctuary Cove.”
Mr Ashwin said while there was some uncertaintyabout fielding enquiries during COVID-19, local buyers had been waiting a longtime for the release of Serenity 4212.
“The developers did their research and knew ofthe limited waterfront availability in the area. At the same time local buyers havebeen looking for a chance to secure waterfront land, and Serenity offers them afinal opportunity to do just this,” he said.
Serenity 4212 offers a wide range of housinglots, with reserve and waterview land from 500sqmto 1061sqm available and absolute waterfront land up to 1326sqm on offer. Housinglots are available from between $489,000 and $1,290,000.
Local MP David Crisafulli said the strong result was part of theunique attributes of the northern Gold Coast.
“If the outbreak of this pandemic has shown us anything it’s thatpeople value their health and safety,” Mr Crisafulli said.
“When you couple that with the fantastic lifestyle and jobopportunities on the northern Gold Coast you have a recipe for investmentsuccess.”
While the project has appealed to predominantly local owner-occupiers, newbuyers are also from Brisbane, including some interstate and international markets.
Mr Ashwin said buyers were drawn to theproject due to the range of housing lots available and the ability Serenityoffers them to build a customized dream home amongst a pristine parcel of land.
“The stunning natural environment Serenity is locatedwithin, and the lifestyle that comes from living in the Gold Coast’s NorthShore, is attracting many buyers to the project,” said Mr Ashwin.
“A lot of our buyers have built before and theyare now looking for a place to create a long-term, permanent residence fortheir family, and they see Serenity as being the ideal place to do this.”
Serenity is tucked away in a stunning tract ofland adjoining Lake Serenity – a lock-controlled lake residents have directaccess to – and the internationally protected Coombabah Lakelands.
The waterways in the heart of the communityback onto the Coomera River and broader Hope Island marine and leisure precinct, offering residents direct access to the Gold Coast’s waterways.
Only 15ha ofthe 65ha site will be developed, offering spaciousresidences, ample outdoor spaces andwalkways for residents, as well as three architecturally designed waterfrontparks.
Future stages will include a mini-marinaprecinct and the Serenity Greens community which will offer 60 four-bedroom,two car space townhomes priced from $489,000 and averaging 200sqm.
The project is multi-staged and will also encompassretirement, retail and apartments in addition to townhouses, residential landand a marina.
