Mosaic's $52 million Drift development nears sell-out
Two luxury penthouses are the last apartments still available at a new $52 million Coolum beach residential project.Drift, by award winning developer Mosaic Property Group, has now sold 97% of its 56 two and three-bedroom apartments.Mosaic Property Group managing director Brook Monahan said interest had been strong with 70% of buyers being local.“It has been 11 years since the last quality apartment project was delivered in Coolum,” Mr Monahan said.“There were 17 sales in the first two weeks the project was on the market and it was 65% sold within a month. These buyers are well aware of how special Coolum is, and they’ve been waiting patiently for a development of this calibre for a long time.”Future owner occupiers snapped up 85 per cent of the project, with 15 per cent of them being downsizers. Investors accounted for the remaining 15 per cent of sales. Both remaining three-bedroom penthouses, which are priced at $2.3 million and $2.45 million, have three car spaces each, plus additional storage. They feature oak timber floors, high-end custom joinery and large private balconies, while the designer kitchens include stunning designer tapware, 2-pac cabinetry, exclusive range SMEG appliances and fully integrated French-door fridge/freezers.Hand selected natural stone has been used in the benchtops, island benches and splashbacks.Three sub-penthouses and two penthouses have already sold.Mr Monahan said Mosaic had combined cutting-edge contemporary design and luxury with environmental considerations at Drift to deliver spacious interiors with high ceilings and large windows for natural light and ventilation.Water-efficient fixtures, energy-saving lighting, rainwater harvesting and native landscaping have all contributed to the project achieving a six-leaf EnviroDevelopment certification.A luxury VIP entertainment room, resort style pool, external kitchen facilities and large private gardens are among the exclusive resident facilities. All apartments take advantage of the Coolum Esplanade location, with sweeping beach and ocean views.Drift is now under construction with completion expected in August, 2019.The building is the third luxury project on the Sunshine Coast for Mosaic, with a fourth project set to be launched soon.Mr Monahan said a series of boutique buildings, to be built at 100 Duporth Ave, Maroochydore, would be Mosaic’s most luxurious project yet. The waterfront Avalon development follows the $20 million Cyan and $23 million Solis projects, both at Kings Beach. The 31-apartment Cyan is due for completion in June while Solis, which has 33 apartments, is also under construction and due for completion in October. Both have sold out.In total, Mosaic has a $200 million Sunshine Coast pipeline, creating 380 regional jobs and delivering $33 million in wages for local workers.
