Covella proves property hotspot for local buyers

Villa World’s flagship 1502 lot Covella address at Greenbank, the company’s largest-ever Queensland project, is coming to fruition on a 150 hectare site. The developer has seen 90 sales since Covella’s launch late last year with the bushland-fringed community attracting local purchasers seeking an alternative to acreage.Buyers have been attracted by the quality of the development, affordability of its residential sized land, proximity to Greater Springfield and Brisbane’s CBD as well as the availability of registered land that’s ready to build on now.Covella has recently fast-tracked the release of stage two which followed the near sell-out of the projects first stage comprising 72 lots.Villa World CEO and managing director Craig Treasure said the company was catering to the demand for affordable housing across the Logan corridor.“We’re seeing a long-term demand for housing in this marketplace with the growth of urban centres such as Greater Springfield,” Mr Treasure said.“Covella delivers a housing destination which meets the lifestyle aspirations of the region’s rapidly growing population at a time when Brisbane housing prices are surging beyond the reach of first home buyers particularly.”“We expect sales at Covella to only increase as we meet the steady and long-term demand for housing, delivering a product that meets the lifestyle aspirations of the region’s rapidly growing population.”Mr Treasure said an array of quality local and major builders had shown interest in Covella and their homes would be showcased in the Builders Display Village, which is due to open next year.Land at Covella is priced from $201,000 and ranges from 315sqm to 2000sqm.Each of Covella’s four neighbourhoods will have its own parks connected by walking and running tracks. The parks will also include playground equipment and picnic shelters. An extension of the Lavelle Lagoon Sporting Grounds is also a significant part of the masterplan.Covella will offer residents an array of facilities to help them achieve an active and healthy lifestyle through the new active8 concept, which ensures the address offers at least eight forms of healthy activity.Located 40 minutes from Brisbane’s CBD and 12 minutes from Springfield Lakes, Covella is close to schools, major arterials and retails hubs such as Pub Lane Shopping Centre.Covella will be developed in 27 stages over the next seven years and will eventually be home to 4000 people.Covella follows the launch Villa World’s 300-lot Chambers Ridge project in neighbouring Park Ridge and the company’s 726-lot Killara community at Logan Reserve.
