Theinsatiable demand for luxury beachfront apartments along the tightly heldBurleigh Heads beach strip has paid immediate dividends for Gold CoastDevelopment company Allure Property Corporation which has secured more thanhalf of its apartments only four weeks after public launch.
More than $55 millionof the apartments in 88 Burleigh, at an average price of $2.65 million, have beensecured as interstate and local downsizers capitalise on a shortage of newluxury apartment product currently in the market along The Esplanade, arguablyAustralia’s hottest beachfront precinct.
Interestingly, 100per cent of the buyers have an existing connection with Burleigh Heads, according to Bruce Goddard, of Place Projects, who launched 88 Burleigh tothe market on March 13.
“The interest hasbeen nothing but stunning with more than half the building secured in afortnight from 360 inquiries,” said Mr Goddard.
“Buyers all knowBurleigh well, so we are preaching to the converted.
“The interstatebuyers from Melbourne and Sydney all have some existing connection withBurleigh Heads as previous or existing investors, and this is the same fromBrisbane.
“Gold Coast buyersmake up about 60 per cent of the latest purchases with many of these upgradingfrom existing apartments along The Esplanade or local buyers downsizing fromhomes within the Burleigh locale.”
Mr Goddard said 88Burleigh was currently the only apartment project on the market along thehighly sought-after Esplanade precinct, with other projects now sold out.
“We believe thelaunch has been timed impeccably to take advantage of the incredible demand forbeachfront living in Burleigh, which is undoubtedly the most active residentialbeach precinct in the country,” he said.
“But let’s not forgetthe incredible offering, magnificent luxury three-bedroom homes which have beendesigned by the renowned architects DBI and are tailored to the astute luxurydownsizer market which is very strong on the Gold Coast.”
The $90 million development willcomprise a 17-level tower with 31 spacious residences that enhance and exudethe casual sophistication, ambience and style of its prime beachfront positionalong The Esplanade.
Designed byaward-winning architectural firm DBI to create a real sense of exclusive, contemporary living with the owner-occupier in mind, 88 Burleigh will compriseno more than two apartments per floor, each offering over 200sqm of livingspace to residents.
It’s the onlyexclusive, owner-occupier product currently in the Burleigh Heads market inwhat is one of Australia’s hottest beachfront precincts.
On level 17,topping the development, 88 Burleigh’s sprawling penthouse is set to become oneof the city’s most breathtaking and sought-after seaside addresses.
The crowningglory of 88 Burleigh is the Level 17 penthouse topping the development, offersan impressive 400sqm of space, private rooftop pool, internal garden, generousentertaining lounge and unencumbered 27-degree ocean and beach views fromBurleigh Heads to Surfers Paradise.
All thelower-level apartments feature three bedrooms and each apartment’s lobby opensdirectly on a sky garden forming a vertical green spine on its northern andsouthern facades.
The use offull-height windows and operable panels across all the living areas is designedto optimise the panoramic ocean views, bathe the residences in natural lightingand take advantage of sea breezes by facilitating cross ventilation.
DBI DirectorRaith Anderson, part of design team that has been shaping the Gold Coast’sever-changing skyline for more than 40 years, says 88 Burleigh has beenimagined as a “living and breathing extension of the beautiful beachfrontlocation”.
“The projecthas elegant clean lines and glazing dialogue with the crafted sculptural spinerunning along the beach façade reminiscent of a Turridae eroded by the seabreeze, which has been directly inspired by Burleigh’s coastal DNA,” said MrAnderson.
Its beachsidefaçade draws its inspiration and takes its form from the internal structure ofa Turrid shell, stylishly connecting 88 Burleigh with its coastal surrounds andthe elements that have shaped it.
Adding to 88Burleigh’s abundant amenity, a boutique residents club on the ground level withlounge, kitchen and bar facilities as well as double beach shower will enableresidents and their guests to relax and soak up Burleigh’s beach lifestyle.
