Parkside lives up to its name
Villa World's Parkside community at Coomera is set to get its centrepiece park with the developer breaking ground on the recreation space this week. The near-1.67ha park will be officially opened at a family fun day staged by Villa World in November.Villa World Development Manager Peter Johnson said the construction of the park had the paved the way for an upcoming release at Parkside.“This milestone means we can push the button on the release of our prime park-front homes that we had been holding back in anticipation of the park’s construction,” he said.“The park will be the focal point of Parkside and the people already living in the community will be thrilled to see this important piece of the masterplan move ahead.”The parklands will comprise an 8900sqm turfed play area, playgrounds, two shelters, picnic tables, seating and a shared bicycle and walking path.Parkside’s younger residents will have the choice of a 950sqm bark softfall playground featuring a quad swing, twist net and tortion net, and a ‘natural play’ area with a timber platform and natural sandstone seating. The park will be surrounded by 5500sqm of retained natural vegetation.Parkside is taking shape on an 11.2 hectare site within minutes of several public and private schools, Coomera Train Station, childcare centres, shopping centres, sporting facilities and entertainment venues.Stage 4 of the 107-home estate has now been released with four-bedroom homes priced from $439,000.The community’s two display homes are located on Edwardson Drive, off Amity Road, just east of the M1 at Coomera. They are open from daily, from 10am to 5pm.
