Ray White Surfers Paradise Group dominates Queensland awards night

Queensland’s leadingreal estate agency, Ray White Surfers Paradise Group (RWSP), has again beenrecognised for its excellence in a range of categories at the Ray WhiteQueensland Awards evening, held via Zoom.

RWSP receivedthe highest of accolades for a 29th year in a row, being namedQueensland’s number one sales office – an award which was among a host ofothers recognising RWSP’s continued excellence.

RWSP also camein as the highest ranked commercial real estate sales office in the country andwas named the top property management group in Queensland, while Ray WhiteCommercial received the Excellence in Auction award.

RWSP CEO AndrewBell said that the string of awards was testament to his team’s tirelessefforts, abilities and the company’s experience operating through various difficultcircumstances.

“This year hascertainly thrown a lot of things on its head. In order to succeed we had to beinnovative and adaptive and re-think the way we once did things,” said Mr Bell.

“This was achallenge our office was certainly up for. We were able to succeed through thisperiod given our 30 plus years’ industry experience which has seen us operatethrough a range of global economic challenges.”

RWSP’sdominance on the Gold Coast contributed to Ray White Queensland trading over $8billion in residential property sales, making in excess of 14,000 transactionsover the 2019-2020 financial year.

Mr Bell said hewas excited about the year ahead and what it will hold for the property marketin Queensland.

“Covid-19 hasclearly had a significant impact on the real estate market across the country.However, whilst we are seeing prices in Sydney and Melbourne decline,Queensland has maintained a strong position driven by the influx of buyers fromSydney and Melbourne,” said Mr Bell.

“The GoldCoast has always been, and will remain, a particularly popular choice forinterstate buyers however we’re also seeing a spike in buying activity incountry towns and high interest right along the coast all the way up to Cairns.

“We’rereceiving hundreds of enquiries each month and our offices throughout Sydneyand Melbourne are channelling buyers through who have sold interstate and arelooking to buy here immediately.

“The biggest issuewe are having is finding sufficient stock to meet all those buyers’ needs. Thisis quite an amazing phenomenon and one which should be capitalised on.”

Mr Bell said the cornerstoneof RWSP’s success has long remained its relentless focus on auctioneeringand property marketing.

By providing industry leading marketing, RWSPwas able to engage and reach customers in a way that’s allowed the company tomaintain an incredibly strong position amid Covid.

“Transitioningto digital video inspections enabled us to achieve a record 16 interstatesight-unseen sales in July which is quite extraordinary,” he said.

RWSP’s ProjectManagement arm, which for the third year in a row received the award of ‘Businessof the Year’, also witnessed a rise in long-term rental enquiries from interstatebuyers, following the outbreak of Covid-19 in southern states.

Mr Bell saidthat the company’s Property Management team has been a shining light throughCovid with many landlords turning to RWSP seeking the company’s expertise toguide them through the difficult and uncertain time.

Additionalaccolades RWSP received include being named the No. 1 Commercial Sales &Leasing Office in Australasia and the third leading Commercial Sales &Leasing Office internationally.

RWSP’s RayWhite Prestige agent Matt Gates took out the Marketing Excellence award andagent Jackson Rameau received the Rising Star for Sales & Leasing award.

“The awardscelebrate the efforts of the magnificent team that has been with us along ourjourney. We’re an office that trains and develops people and we’re proud tohave over 50 per cent of our team drawn to us because of this,” said Mr Bell.

“We have somuch youthful energy throughout our business and it’s wonderful to see theloyalty that our staff have. We have some members of our team who have beenwith us for 20 plus years and many more who have been with us for over 10years.

“It’s throughdifficult times like Covid-19 that we see the true character of an office surface.Our focus has always been on supporting each other and our clients so that wecan achieve the best results possible for them,” said Mr Bell.

RWSP is recognised as one of the Gold Coast’smajor philanthropic organisations and received the Community Contribution Award for its annual fundraiser held for musculardystrophy.
