Sales spike as Aniko achieves one sale a day
Gold Coast developer Aniko Group set a scorching pace in the last week of February by securing a buyer a day for the $140 million luxury apartment project, No. 1 Grant Avenue, at Hope Island.
Aniko achieved $4.2 million in salesin the closing week of summer, with the buyer rush led by a wave ofowner-occupiers.
The sales performance comes on theheels of No. 1 Grant Avenue being identified by the latest Urbis MarketEssentials report as one of the fastest-selling projects on the Gold Coast overthe second half of 2019.
Aniko Group managing director GeorgeMastrocostas said owner-occupiers were among the biggest group of buyers, includingdownsizing retirees, looking to secure a foothold in the project.
First-home buyers were also in themix, accounting for one of the sales at the end of February.
“We’ve been fielding inquiries froma broad range of potential buyers, many of them locals,” said Mr Mastrocostas.
“One of our buyers is relocatingfrom Ephraim Island and that’s come about because of the evolution of HopeIsland in recent years as a lifestyle market that offers a wealth of amenities.
“The popularity of Hope IslandMarketplace, which is attracting shoppers from Paradise Point and Runaway Bay, isone of the key drivers of buyer inquiries. Buyers see Hope Island as a maturingmarket that has everything close at hand.
“It’s also coming into its own asone of the Gold Coast’s last affordable lifestyle suburbs.”
The No. 1 Grant Avenue development is within walking distance fromthe $65 million Hope Island Marketplace and buyers are also looking towards thebenefits of future transport infrastructure such as the new Hope Island railwaystation and Coomera Connector.
Aniko has designed No. 1 GrantAvenue to reflect a waterfront resort lifestyle with a range of residentamenities to match.
Apartment owners will enjoy access to a residents’ lounge, expansive poolwith sundecks, a fully equipped gym overlooking a children’s indoor play area,zen garden, private media room, barbecue facilities, a pet wash bay, securebasement parking and bridge free access to the Broadwater and the seaway.
When completed, No. 1 Grant Avenuewill comprise 210 luxury apartments across two buildings along the Hope Islandwaterfront.
The latest sales have pushed theproject past the 70 per cent sold level, which has led Aniko to fast-trackconstruction of the second stage to begin in April.
