Spirit sales top $32 million within days of official project launch
The Gold Coast’s most exciting new development, the 89-level Spirit tower in central Surfers Paradise, has notched up sales worth more than $32 million within days of its official launch. The strong early response for the $1.2 billion mixed-use development comes on the back of pent-up demand for luxury apartment living on the beachfront in the heart of the Gold Coast’s dining and leisure precinct. The initial sales have mainly come from interstate and overseas buyers keen to be among the first to secure a residence in the landmark project.“The early market response to Spirit has been quite strong and we’re pleased to see buyers recognising the premium position of these residences in the Australian market,” said Julian Sutherland, director of Ray White Projects.“That’s not surprising for a luxury residential development that really has no peer in the domestic market.“Interstate buyers are naturally comparing these residences with what is available in their home markets and the sales we’ve experienced clearly reflect the value proposition that Spirit offers.”Mr Sutherland said many of the buyers have been owner-occupiers looking to downsize to a bigger lifestyle.“In the case of Spirit, this is not downsizing in the conventional sense,” he said.“Apart from the prime location, buyers have also been captivated by the size of Spirit apartments and the scale of living space that they offer.“One-bedroom apartments, for example, are the size of an average two-bedroom apartment, but with all lifestyle inclusions that are unsurpassed.”Spirit residents can expect an unparalleled luxury residential experience with unique features such as a 24-hour concierge service, enormous lifestyle precincts including infinitypool, restaurants, cocktail lounge, banquet room and wine and champagne cellar. In all, residents will have access to 2700sqm of facilities for their exclusive use.Additional luxury pay-per-use services will be available to residents, including car washing and detailing, babysitting, newspaper deliveries, pet vacation care and grooming.Butlers will be available to individual apartments upon request, as well as personal grocery shopping and flower arrangement deliveries. The first three floors of Spirit will be home to an expansive retail precinct featuring a variety of high end restaurants and commercial space overlooking the beach.Apartment prices start from $1.166 million for one bedrooms and average 107sqm in size.Three-bedroom, three-bathroom apartment sizes range from 220sqm to 295sqm, or the equivalent of a new four-bedroom, two-storey family home. Floor-to-ceiling windows capture the views while gentle palettes and soft textures express a sense of a private retreat, with a starting price of $2.141 million.Spirit is topped off by a grand two-storey penthouse that is priced at $41 million and offering almost 2000sqm of luxury living. The penthouse will have 628sqm of balconies and include four bedrooms, five bathrooms and four car-parking spaces.Spirit also has two, two-storey sub-penthouses located on levels 84 and 85, each with four bedrooms, five bathrooms and a floor space of more than 1000sqm.Spirit, which comprises 479 apartments, is backed by China’s Fu Hua Group and the project is being developed by its Australian arm Foriseland.Construction has begun on the prime Surfers Paradise site which is bounded by Hanlan Street, Northcliffe Terrace and Trickett Street. Spirit is scheduled for completion in 2021.
