Yves Mermaid Beach ticks all criteria for local buyer

Hirsch & Faigen’s $200 million Yves Mermaid Beach development is proving to be a quick hit amongst local buyers, with one of its 145 luxury apartments snapped up by Gold Coast couple, Mark and Renee Rooney.

Varsity Lakes local, Mark Rooney, says he and his wife based their purchase off a list of 60 different criteria, ranging from living and communal spaces to the ceiling height and interior aesthetics.

For Mr and Mrs Rooney Yves long term growth and advantages, alongside its architecturally acclaimed design, ticked all the boxes of their detailed criteria list and ultimately sealed the deal.

“We looked at five or six other developments first and did an analysis of which one we thought provided the best short-, medium- and long-term growth and advantages for myself and my wife, and Yves proved to be most favourable in that respect,” said Mr Rooney.

“The quality and pedigree of the developer, the architect and the builder were the next things we looked at and when all 60 criteria were analysed against some of the other developments, Yves undoubtedly came out on top.

“The unique and luxurious living and communal spaces throughout Yves feature uncompromising commitment to design, sustainability and usability which was also a key component in our criteria.

“Entering back into the property market we had a list of 60 criteria we needed the development to meet, and the fact that Yves ticked all our boxes is a testament to the quality of this project.”

Mr Rooney says Yves serene beachside location further cemented his desire for the development, also citing the surrounding amenities as its major draw cards.

“My mum has been living in this prestigious pocket of the Gold Coast for over 30 years and she absolutely loves it, so we were confident moving to the area,” said Mr Rooney.

“Yves central Mermaid Beach location is simply unrivalled, we have an abundance of enriching dining, shopping and entertainment precincts, as well as a pristine beach, right at our doorstep.”

Developers Hirsch & Faigen have previously caught the attention of Mr Rooney with their interstate projects and most recently, the Kirra Beach development of Emerson.

“I’m originally from Sydney and my wife is from Melbourne and Hirsch & Faigen have done developments across the country, making a nationwide name for themselves,” said Mr Rooney.

“After seeing theirs and Rothelowman Architects’ portfolio of projects on the Gold Coast, Sydney and Melbourne, we were really impressed, especially with Hirsch & Faigen’s distinct style.

“All I can say is, we can’t wait to move in and live in our Yves apartment.”
